It is understandable. The confusion and fear you are feeling now. Anyone would feel it if they found themselves in this world now while suffering from amnesia.
I so dearly wish I could tell you, show you, help you remember who you are, who we are.
I could tell you of the Peace we all had once, how we played together and all was provided. It was fun and all of life was easy, filled with play, joy, exploration and the innocence of pure being. All was safe. All was secure.
Your spirit is so deeply beautiful and a marvel to behold.
But then I would have to darken the stage before I had to tell you of the point at which we separated from each other and you set off on your own, too early, too early. I won’t remind you of how that felt, because it was so very, very long ago. It’s reason and purpose hidden away underneath the pain too great to bear.
While you wandered in search of yourself, your memories faded into a fantasy, soon lit with disbelief and hardened hearts. With each hurt, you shrunk your world into beliefs of struggle and not enough and competition and fighting for what you believed was never enough.
But you grew so much. You became so strong in your individuality. Even if you believed yourself to be bad, it least you were something. You created an unsure safety with armor and cynicism, weapons fine and deadly always ready by the door.
Who could fault you for needing to become an individual? Not I. Even in all you imperfections, you grew, became more, came to stand on you own, defiant to the pains and sorrows, losses and disappointments. Your spirit is so deeply beautiful and a marvel to behold. Here you stand in spite of it all.
If I could but hold you and in an embrace, heal the wounds, forgive all the trespasses done by and to you. I would restore your sight to see who you are. The is what I would do.
Yet, now it is up to you. Whether limping or proud it is your final choice to continue shrinking your world into pain or to listen to the whispers of memories, beginning to dance about the edges of your reality. From your hard-won place, can I soften your heart?
There is no place you have wandered that is beyond compassion
I can tell you that Peace is your birth-right. I can tell you it starts with feeling safe and even secure. Does it ring a bell, or did your hurts and callouses make you deaf too? Ah dear ones, you are so close. Even a tiny memory of having enough all the time, of being enough every day, of the excitement of every day’s blank slate laid at your feet upon waking can open a way.
In all your glory of mind, your wonders of invention, your crafty and creative zeal, you can create all you need, for all. You can lay down the weapons and walk away, never looking back because you have outgrown them.
With all your hearts tenderly and haltingly opening you can heal the wounds you suffered by believing you were all alone and vulnerable. You can forgive in the light of waking up to the truth of you and even more important, you can be forgiven.
There is no place you have wandered that is beyond compassion, beyond understanding, beyond healing or beyond hope. You have never been beyond love.
I await you, ever ready to dance again, renewed by all you have become.
